"Sun, Sun, Sun..."

...Here it comes...(Dale Chihuly style!) Now, sing along with me...

"Here comes the Sun...

...Do, do, do, do...

Here comes the sun...

And I say....It's all right...

Da, da da da, da da da, da da daaah..."
"Here Comes The Sun Lyrics"
~George Harrison

And
that was just how my day in paradise began...
47 degrees
when we left home before sunrise
which made a hot chocolate at the patio cafe a real delight.
Then the sun came...aaahhhh!
We savored our hot chocolates as we warmed up our sketchbooks
with some bright and festive poinsettia
before going off
to explore the natural wonders of the Desert Botanical Garden
and the blown glass masterpieces of
Dale Chihuly.
My, did I ever feel blessed this day!
(Click on images to enlarge...amazing detail!)

"May the sun shine all day long,
everything go right and nothing wrong.
May those you love bring love back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true!"
~Irish Blessing

I'd think that it would take at least a lifetime to make that fantastic tree!!!!!!

Recently saw the Chihuly exhibit at San Francisco's de Young Museum, and that was spectacular, too...so MUCH glass, including your Here Comes the Sun tribute piece. Inspiring! Keep on enjoying it....

I feel warm all over just looking at this piece and yes I was singing along with you.

You captured the hues in the glass so well Margaret.

Is that you in the picture Margaret? I have never seen a picture of you?

Stunning - and thanks for including yourself(?) That picture gave me a clue to the size - I imagined them much smaller.

What fun! I took some photos of his work at Atlanta Botanical Garden and Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh last year. It was interesting see your photos showing it in a different type of environment.

Woah! I love that tree! How fantastic - and brings a bit of warmth and light into a very icy and cold Lincolnshire!
My favorite Irish blessing - may you be in heaven half and hour before the devil knows your'e dead!
Keep well :-)

OMG! What an amazing glass sculpture....I'm in awe of the complexity in creating such a piece. Can you imagine what care must be taken to set these displays?! I also love the pic of you in front of the display.

Your drawing, as always, is amazing....I love that turqoise pot in the centre!

First of all, how wonderful to see the smiling face behind the artist we've all come to love :)

Secondly, wow again!!! I wonder how these get packed and shipped to various sites? Must be quite a feat.
