"Add Together...Many Microns..."

...one Japanese Fold Moleskine Sketchbook...
five artistically zen inspired souls...
a boat load of commitment and imagination...
and you have the official 2010
Zentangle Moly_X sketchbook exchange!
My reveal is finally here...
both in scanned format and in digital photographs.
Actually,
my little book has flown from the nest today
and is now winging her way across
thousands of miles
into the studios and creative minds of
our group members...one by one.
I miss her already...
we had become such an extension of each other
for the past
several intensive weeks.
Can't wait til she returns back home again!
Enjoy the reveal.
It's been a long time coming! :)

My official sign in page...

Pages One and Two...connecting to...
...Pages Three and Four...(and a teency bit more)

When she returns
her 30 double sided zig-zagged pages
will be inked with life and joy
and
continuously beautiful patterns
born from the dancing pens in our Muses' hands.
Our group progress
will be officially blogged on Flickr
in the Moly_X group
once all the blog details have finalized.
I will post a link here to our Moly group
as soon as it's possible
so you can follow along if you wish.
Each of us will also be posting our personal progress
individually.
Here is a list of our group members
along with a link to
either their art galleries or blogs.
Lisa in Arizona...
Sandra in Oregon...
Cindy in Tennessee...
Jella in Belgium...
and
me, here in Arizona.
WOW!
I am just breathless with excitement.
I hope you enjoy our little artistic journey...
as much as we have enjoyed
planning it...:)

“Let your mind
start a journey through a strange new world.
Leave all thoughts of the world
you knew before.
Let your soul take you where you long
to be.
Close your eyes
let your spirit start to soar,
and
you'll live as you've never lived before.”

"All Our Bags Are Packed..."

...and we're ready to go....
the dawn is breaking...it's early morn...
I hate to wake you up to say
goodbye...(so I'll blog it instead.)
Because I'm
leaving on a jet plane...
don't know when I'll be back again..."
Oh my...I hate to go!
Mmmm...:)
Arizona lies 1500+ miles and 3 and a half hours
of velvety violet sky time ahead.
As the sun rises
over my sleepy in-flight shoulder
the question will become..."To draw or not to draw??"
Guess I will have to wait and see...:)
(BTW...
my sincerest apologies for chopping up
John Denver's famous lyrics...
but for some reason
I just couldn't get that song out of my head!)
Next post will be
from the triple digit desert heat of Arizona!
Lastly, a editorial note:
the photo above was taken at Blumen Gardens
yesterday afternoon...
I...L*O*V*E...that place!

"Getting That Vintage Feel ..."

...with a couple of old fashioned sunflowers
banded by
a bit of a gingham inspired border...:)

Illustration Friday: "Old Fashioned"

"As for marigolds, poppies, hollyhock,
and valorous sunflowers...
we shall never have a garden without them...
both for their own sake...
and for the sake of old-fashioned folks,
who used to love them.

"Back in the U.S.S.R...."

well...that should actually read
back in the
Unbelieveably Super Saturated Rainy
midwest!
Gosh what miserable humidity!
(...and you wouldn't even believe my hair...
aka "Shirley Temple...)
But...
Alas...a cold front, with nice cool dry air, hangs out in
Iowa...expected arrival sometime tomorrow...
Ahhh!

"Rain hangs about the place, like a friendly ghost.
If it's not coming down in delicate droplets
then it's in buckets;
and
if it's neither...
it tends to lurk suspiciously in the atmosphere."
