"Held Hostage..."

...all day Wednesday
by a wickedly piercing migraine.
Not even my little lavender filled neck roll,
a long nap, and good drugs
would make it go
away.

"I'm very brave generally, he went on in a low voice:
only today I happen to have a headache."
~Lewis Carroll

I can't imagine having a migrane Margaret. I have heard that they can be debilitating. I rarely have a headache. I hope you are better today.

Your sketch is great. The writing really expresses your pain.

Aahh..me too!
Seems they have shown up lately, when I have not had them for years.
Eyes on the computer screen don't help, seasons, chocolate, and coffee...all things I like, do not like me back. Just try to catch it early.

I truly feel your pain...ugh.
I suffered from migraines for years . I lost at least 3 days a month because of them. Lights out, silence, vomiting...misery. The weird thing is they went away after my hysterectomy which means mine were probably hormonally triggered.
One article I read recently that showed up in my email box was about migraines being caused (in some people) by an allergy to gluten. Lots of misdiagnoses stem from that allergy...IBD, gallbladder disease, lupus...wow.
Anyway, ramble ramble!! I wish you a speedy recovery from that nasty demon headache ;)

I finally get back to some blogging to see you've had a terrible day. You did a great job rendering the idea though.

i find the best thing for a severe migraine is a good dose of laxatives (ecuse me other bloggers). it clears the digestive tract and thus the migraine. sooorrryyyyyyyy 4 u.
