and two tangelos on the counter...
was the theme of what I quick sketched, lead free, yesterday
while waiting for dinner to be ready
at mom and dad's.
We just popped in for a visit and an easy computer file fix for dad
and ended up staying for two meals!
Serendipity at it's finest...I love when that happens.

I love the colors. the lettering. the side border patches, the whole spread is wonderful. I spent this afternoon going over a raw ink sketch and adding the color I thought I would never do--so we were sort of in the same mode...
This is very nice. The Layout is very cool. I like the color squares on the right hand side. It really seems to tell a story. I also like the definition of serendipity, but I have an odd obsession with serendipity.
Overall this is very cool!!
Very nice. I love geraniums and the more the better. I like how you kept the label on the tangelo! They are such a part of our life now; I've thought of leaving them on for a drawing but ended up not doing so. Of course, in this case it really adds that bit of sparkle to the orange doesn't it?
Glad you got to enjoy your parents for a day. How I miss getting to visit mine.
i like geraniums in abundance but not just one pot or two...go figure!
I love the way you border your sketches.
... and think that's a terrific quote.
This one is a winner! I love the whole composition.. borders add so much to a page. This is an inspiration to make mine more interesting.
This page is wonderful. I love geraniums -- they seem so cheerful. I also related to your description of your visit with your parents. What a wonderful post!
Beautiful, Margaret!
Have you ever read The Little White Horse, by Elizabeth Goudge? Geraniums play an important part in the book. Reading that your mom had 7 pots, oh, this brought me right back to this delightful children's story from yonder years.

I love the word and the meaning of the word 'serendipity'. It sounds so entrancing. And your sketch page is serendipity!
beautiful. I love your use of words and the little coloured squares. It all fits and makes your drawing so interesting
Love this post - remind me of my geraniums in my garden sketchbook - so interesting to draw with those lovely shaped and coloured leaves. What are these fruits - a mix of tangerines and what?? Lovely description of your visit to your parents home.
Sorry about the migraine the other day - I know how debilitating they can be. Loved the 'flawed' spread and dont agree it is flawed in any way. Forgive me dealing with three posts in one go but Ive been away for a few days.
Aaahhhhhh I can feel the sunshine that is on them. I wish I was on the patio with the geraniums.
Wonderful spread, Margaret. Light, happy, warm and free food.
Margaret! Wow your colors are so lively! I love the whole spread but for some reason I"m drawn to your color swatches in the top right. HUm... May be I need to start doing that for my stuff too? YOu always inspire me when I see your art!
Wonderful geranium painting Margaret!
I always enjoy your art, you know that! What a gift you have
Beautiful painting for such Margaret!
Loving the colours that you have chosen.
Just so refreshing!!!!
Really love your painting style and enjoy dropping by again and again:)
Yeah, the pot colour is so nice too:)
Everything about this post inspires me and will totally steal your ideas ;-) Lisa
I really like this, I can almost smell the clay pot. I love the writing and the squares in the corner. Wonderful.
Margaret - this is gorgeous!!!!
