I was given.
The stamps in the lower right hand corner are from
a Chinese chop my sister gifted me
from her trip to China.

Delightful post and illustration. Really liked all the Chinese proverbs... they say so much in beautifully descriptive language.Just looked at my verification word to post this comment and its JOYAH - very apt for celebrating Chinese New Year.

since my visit to hong kong 25 years ago, i adore all things chinese, the reds are redder than red.

Margaret, I thought of your talent when I volunteered for an art miles project at the Long Beach Aquarium. I am working up an illustration for two 5x12 canvas panels to be painted by children of all ages next Tuesday. Your talent would make you a natural for this. Thanks for visitng my blog.
