with a favorite sketchbook journaling artist/mentor/friend/cool person
during an all day workshop sponsored by my local art club.
The weather in Arizona has been gorgeous lately
but
it has also been breaking all kinds of record highs
for this time of year...
and many of us are anxious for our seasonal cool down to arrive and stay.
The nights though have been just plain dreamy...windows open...
breathing the sweetly scented, cool, fresh desert air...
Ahhhh!
The day I drew the plein air sketch I posted above was one of those
"picture perfect" days
that everyone comes to Arizona this time of year to experience...
Here's hoping that today
will be a repeat "weather wise" and the only records broken will be
those records I set for sketching! :)

Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real."

What a perfect day picture! It's perfectly lovely!
Have fun on your sketch day! It has been lovely weather. Too bad it wouldn't hold over Thanksgiving.
I wish I had an art buddy...heck, it would be wonderful to have an art club around here. *sigh* Your day sounds amazing...I hope it was a wonderful one!

Hi Margaret,
Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog today!
I love how you've painted the delicate wispy ends of this interesting plant.
Your weather sounds as lovely as your art looks Margaret. Have a wonderful day with your painting buddy and I will look forward to seeing what you do while together.
LOVE this painting! This is my favorite desert tree. I'm so fascinated with the gorgeous smooth, green bark and bright yellow flowers. You captured it beautifully!
Oh, I'm so envious, your tree looks like a tree. I've been practicing and my tree still look weird. Great job!
Oh boy is Deepak Chopra Right (again) art gives me Joy, which is the only way I can describe it to others. Theis sketch is sheer JOY!! enJOY!
Too cool. Interpret that as , "I am so dam jealous!"
Can't wait to see the results.
Great as always....you know, that lovely tree you drew looks almost bamboo-ish! Fun.
Lovely painting!
The desert sounds wonderful to me!
How was your workshop? Hope you enjoyed it!
I could feel your excitement and can't wait to hear/see/experience the outcome of today with Grace..with grace!
