"Four Black Squares..."

...mounted in my square white zen journal
drawn lead free
while trying out some new metallic pens
on black paper.
Question:
Has anyone else had trouble scanning
black paper??
(Check out all the streaks especially in the lower right square.)
Drats!
Any suggestions are welcomed!

I can never get a good scan of black paper. I have even tried to leave open the top and put black material all around it. The more you try to fix it in a picture program, the worse it gets too. I can't even get it with a camera.

They're very pretty!

Peg, the ones on the left seem streak free. Did you scan the 4 together? Perhaps that one side of your scanner has issues with darker paper.

These are beautiful! What kind of pens are you using?

Look good but when enlarged look stunning with the bright markings shining through from the dark background. Great idea. I see the streaks clearly only when enlarged - nuisance but certainly don't detract from the images.

I never use our scanner. I have no luck with it. I like the look of the pens on the black paper.

Is it possible you have something so faint on the scanner glass that it doesn't show up except against black paper? I haven't had problems to speak of.
