have been set abloom in a soft indigo glow
lit by our latest, seemingly "humongous", full moon.
Known as the "Wolf Moon"
this name was given the first full moon in January
by Native Americans.
You can read
all about the names and the mystique
of the rest of the year's
full moons here.
Isn't it beautiful to see something we consider so familiar
blossoming in a brand new light.
Mmmm!
Mother Nature certainly can put on a show!
Happy Blooming Tuesday and night all!

And so do you my lovely friend. I just love the mystery in the colours here. Is this a large piece?
Hugs
Marvelous painting to honor the moon.
Where do you get your ideas and quoted literature? Thanks for the moon link. Arrived at Anita's for a four day stay last Thursday for a long painting session (!) on the morning your parcel arrived. Loved your business card as much as the gifts!!
This is beautiful, very like batik...I could see a scarf out of this...
Just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the colors and shapes in this one and that big old moon!
The sight of the bright full moon peeping through the branches on a still night is magical and eerie at the same time. And this particular watercolor piece has given justice to it, rendering the magical moment in a splendidly stylized way.
Catching up on blog posts today.
This is a wonderful painting.
No mather what you do I always love it!
