...I artistically
celebrated the week before Valentine's Day ♥
with a series of hearts I called
the "Black Heart" series.
The were heavily zentangled and very tatoo-like.

This year...
I am looking forward
to celebrating with a week of "Lemony Hearts"
the palettes of which are inspired
by the luscious "lemony yellow" lemons on our tree.
This first piece
was drawn lead free in my zen journal...
and...
as you will see...
became the theme of many of the pieces to follow.
I hope you, in turn,
will look forward to seeing all of them.

Such a beauty! The eye makes it so mystical ;) I look for ward to seeing the rest of the series.
I miss lemon trees in abundance like back in CA. I did a mural there once of a lemon vine around a huge window for a room where they let their rabbits play! The huge lemon tree was just outside the window so it was easy to do it from 'life.'
