Cacti tried on their costumes
which were really nifty keen!
The Mesquite are adorned with bitty berries bright...
Hoping the Hallowed Eve's moon
makes them glooow in the night.
Mr. Coyote skulks about...um, not just one...but a few...
No scary masks are needed
for their hooowling will do!
Hark! Tomorrow's the day when hobgoblins are born...
Just watch out for those tricksters
who steal candy corn!
So, however you may dress up...or maybe, not at all...
Have fun with the celebrations
of this season of Fall!

What a wonderful poem and the drawing goes with it so well. Which came first?? the drawing or the poem?? Happy Hallows EVe.
Fantastic, Peg! Very clever bringing in the themes together in your own unique style. Your creativity is endless!
BTW: remember my lovely red notebook which I wish I'd bought more of? Well, I found it again :-)
And this time I bought 4!! 2 red and 2 silver gray. The brand is nightingale.

wowsers, and have a great halloween there (we don't do it much over here).
I love both the poem & your painting. The colors are fantastic.
Bravo! Will be missing out on the tricksters since we'll be off camping, but maybe we'll get some of those hooowling coyotes. Thanks for the Halloween spirit!
I'm loving your blog.
Have a great weekend.
Love Renee xoxo
Ah, Halloween in the desert! Beautiful.
Oh! Golden and magnificent! Love it!
I love that picture - very neat pattern on the pumpkin base. I've finally gotten a chance to review some of your previous posts - thankful thursday is awesome, some really great art!
I really like your Autumn series. The colors are great(my favorite earthy kinds) and the theme with the pumpkins, and leafless trees, and pebbles... they are great! I like how you maintain your style, the shadings and the negative space at the back. Absolutely unique and pleasing to the eyes ^^
Wonderful - wish it was for trade
:(.....
