"Wrapped..."

in a wreath of red roses...
is another card in my Sacred Heart Milagros ATC series.
This one is drawn to
celebrate the Illustration Friday theme : "Wrapped."

It is posted this day in loving memory
of Jan and Diane
two of my sorority sisters and dear friends from college...
the news of their passing
just reaching me this weekend.

“My prayer today is that we will feel the loving arms of God
wrapped around us,
and will know in our hearts
that He will never forsake us as we trust in Him.”
~Billy Graham

A beautiful tribute to your friends. Reading Billy Grahams quote reminded me of his wife. She wrote poems. They are published. I enjoy them a lot because they are simple yet packed with such meaning.

Peggy--do you still answer to Peggy?--this is very special. Thanks so much for the tribute to Diane and Janet. It's heartwarming (no pun of course) and healing. This is Phyllis--Barb D called me this morning with your blog url and the news of this posting--long time, eh? I am in Los Angeles, I guess you're in AZ? I truly love your work. I am going to look at the older posts now--I've just seen the first page thus far.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose old friends, especially when it's doubled.
