...Hiking above Grindelwald,
solo...
the cool crisp mountain air swells in my lungs
with each joyful breath...in and out.
Rays from a potent alpine sun sear my face and legs
yet gently warm my heart and soul...
I feel so very much "at home"...so serene and at peace
and so totally in "the moment"
simply
lying on a grassy alm surrounded by clusters of alpenrose
and
thoughts of fragile forget-me-nots.
I listen to the mountains speak...and I think and wonder...
Ancient cow bells clang lazily in the distance...
and muffled voices and faraway song
mull around in my mind
as my head rests propped up on my backpack pillow.
Snow peaked mountain sentinels...wise with time
surround me.
A vast and glorious azure sky is canopied over my head.
Each tenderly yet protectively
keeps watch over my little universe
and
blankets me in sweet, sweet dreams.
Mmmm...
in remembering Switzerland...
there is oooh, so very much
to cherish...for a lifetime of forevers.
Happy "Blooming Tuesday"...
May many pleasant memories blossom for you this day.

Beautiful Swiss flowers, beautiful, beautiful words, Margaret!
It's like being transported there, feeling the peace seeping into me. Being in the moment is SUCH a POWERFUL thing!
Thank you so much for sharing...
This configuration of flowers is so Swiss. I love the mountains. Aahhh I can feel that crisp air and sunshine.
I knew the design was Swiss inspired before reading a word.
Your memories of that day brought me right to that very spot.
I'm yodeling as I read this!
;)
Beautiful memories.
Beautiful art.
Beautiful words.
You and I were on the same page today with inversions. I just love how they look.
Margaret;
You have created such a wonderful picture in my mind. My husband has seen Switzerland and Germany but I haven't yet. I would love to see it. Your flowers are so nice too.
when you are next in switzerland, come and stay with me in london. i was in geneva 6 years ago, in a hospital for a month - that's the only part of switzerland i ever saw, from my hospital room's window, and it was snowing, very very beautiful.
Beautiful as always! And really nice words :) I would love to be part of that memory because it's just so pretty ^^
You brought back memories of when I too was in Switzerland. I did the youth backpacking, staying in hostels and traveling on a Eurail pass in 1980. I loved the cows and goats in the hills with bells. I can remember the bells clearly.
What a pretty image - so Swiss! I do love that photo too!
your words took me there with you. :)
Darling designs!!
