"The Intersection Of..."

...Main Street and Brown...
...wild, wonky, and whimsical...just like this drawing!
The area is a
riotous conglomeration of color, tourist attractions, shops, food, art,
music, carriage rides, trinkets, and treasures...
and it is all dressed up
in "old west kitch" with a splash of contemporary savvy
and a hint of old Mexican soul!
Drawn "lead free" while waiting for Scott.

"The traveler sees what he sees,
the tourist sees what he has come to see."
~
G. K. Chesterton

Love the colors. I have lived near this area and I miss it. Your drawing has brought a lot of memories form AZ. Great Job!

I really love a lot of things about AZ even though I haven't spent any time there. I want to go to Tubac. Now that' we're moving back east at some point this year I'm sure I won't get to Arizona :(

Well, by blogging I will!

Great colorful sketch :)

This is gorgeous, Margaret! When I first saw the spread before reading it was in Arizona, it reminded me of a place in Santa Fe. It was an outdoor market inside an inner courtyard.

The colours on this spread make me happy just o look at it :)
