"Points of View..."

...I was in the mood for exploring more roses today
especially
since the petals are opening up so beautifully.
I love that!
My pen has a tendency
to get mesmerized and lost in their structure.
About the time I get that somewhat down...the light changes!
Go figure, eh?
Mother nature never fails to amaze me!

"It is at the edge of a petal that love waits."
~William Carlos Williams
American Poet, 1883-1963

Really beautiful. I can see why you did this - roses are jus gorgeous from every angle aren't they? I often want to draw them from the top because of the wonderful spiralling petal structure, but then you're missing out on the beautiful pointy sepals. I think in retrospect, my favourites are usually from the side.

Great solution to the dilemma and beautiful painting!

What a wonderful design. Roses from all angles and a beautiful lacy border all combining to make a superb spread!

Great minds think alike! I've been doing the same thing! My Valentine roses inspired me and I have been sketching and painting them almost daily. Your roses are gorgeous! Is this in a watercolor moley or sketch moley? Marva
