"Just Wondering..."

Does one's checkered past
continually burn deeply within the heart
transforming hope into ashes
or
does it add needed fuel and energy to one's spirit
and
brightly color the palette of love and life?
Hmmm....

"A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart
burning with love."

I would say the latter. Intersting question and perfect illustration.

Well, I don't know the answer to this since I don't have a checkered past lol.

I love that yellow with the black. And if you inverted it, that yellow would be a beautiful blue. (this only tells you I have been doing too many inversions :)

My past is spotless :-)
also, to me this looks religious and scarey being dark. Very well done. Winna

I'd like to believe the later, too.

kind of funny, I have been playing around with a burning heart for my Anti V-day entry. :)

I could possibly have a little bit of a checkered past! LOLOL. I hope the later as well...if anything bad happened in my past, my current life doesn't relect any negativity because of it! Thank God!

This is gorgeous as usual...very nice indeed!!!

Life is far more interesting with a checkered past - and I think the 2nd answer is the correct one for people who learn from their mistakes - and forgive themselves whether they really need to forgive or not.

What a wonderful and thought provoking series, Margaret! And I wish I knew the answer to the question you pose, but right now I have to say I am not sure. Maybe it depends on the day.

The first thing that jumped into my mind when I looked at this drawing was "hunka, hunka, burning love". You must be channeling Elvis, LOL
