"A Flippin' Feather..."

...drawn in my Moly...flipped here just for fun!

"The day is done,
and the darkness, falls from the wings of Night,
As a feather is wafted downward,
from an eagle in his
flight."
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When I saw the title in my favourite blogs list, my mind went spinning into gear trying to imagine what you had created this time. Feather yes, but how were you going to illustrate the north country dialect English word 'flippin' ... then all was revealed. Beautiful as ever. Delightful shape to use. Executed with your usual flare and perfection.

oooooooo this is one of my favorites. It is so lively. I can just see it floating along on an air current...me chasing it trying to capture it.

I'd like to see the whole bird with such feathers---he'd have to be Black with these great colorful feathers you designed as accents---

A beautiful feather that could only float around in Arizona. Love those flips!

So stunning!! This would look great on a hat. Or a bird!
I always like the originals better than the flips, but the flips are interesting.

I hope your hand is getting better :)
