as we looked out of our hotel balcony window...
but
due to the need to replace 2 highly sensitive computer sensors
on our
German built American car...
(why are mechanical things so complicated these days?)
our plans to get away to
Sedona, Arizona have been put on hold.
This journal page was drawn in May of 2006
from the very room
we were to have this week.
I find that comfortingly funny.
I had to find something funny, now didn't I? LOL:)

which
prevents us from becoming cranks."

Glad you can smile, but am praying that your trip can be back on track soon. Wonderful page, though.

That's life, isn't it? Your sketch is great and the colors are so vivid! SEDONA is sooo incredible. I haven't been there since I started sketching. I can't wait to see what you do there. Have fun with your sensors!

I love this work----I've been in the Scottsdale area in the am and it's memorable for sure. EJM
A beautiful scene for sure Margaret. So sad you are missing it in the flesh. Cars are a necessary evil.
OH, MAN! Sorry about the car trouble, that is a GLORIOUS view and a wonderful sketch. Wish you were making its twin, right now...
important to smile, but damn it's a nuisance...grrr too...
You have such a great outlook on paper as well as in life! Hope you on the road soon. Can't wait to see the sketches.
So you are there by revisiting your journal today eh? Hopefully your car will be repaired soon. Hope you aren't stuck paying for rooms you couldn't use. Humor sometimes comes late in a situation but at least you have found it.
Oh, so beautiful! Those darn cars!! I know you will get there and make an even beautifuler one!
I love yor drawing! Your colors are always so wonderful. I'm sorry you weren't able to compare this picture with the real thing this morning like you had planned! I hope your car feels better soon!
