"Thistles and Spikes..."

This bit of a botanical illo began
in the upper left quadrant of my moleskine page
as a migraine doodle
fraught with pain
and...in time...
bloomed into something quite soothingly
unexpected.
Happy Blooming Tuesday...:)

“All my life
I have tried to pluck a thistle
and plant a flower
wherever the flower would grow in thought and mind.”

We just keep pushing through those migraines, eh? I hate that they try to take my time from me so I usually refuse also, even though it's painful. Great art even though in pain!

It's very lovely, and I find your initial lines very expressive of a migraine headache. Hope it's all gone now! nancy

I have never thought of a migrane as beautiful but you make it look so. I hope you are feeling better now. No more thistles in your head.
