"Art washes away from the Soul the dust of Everyday Life" -Pablo Picasso
YOur painting turned out fabulous! It was great meeting you today and I'm sure we'll meet up again! Fran and I have already planned another trip to the garden for next week! We had such a great time today!
Another great picture. I am kind of jealous that I wasn't there, but then I live in Oregon. We had hail today.
Oh wow! Gorgeous!
I am envious, love the results.
lucky to have to time and talent and nice friends to share this with, it's a fabulous drawing.
Great painting! It was a pleasure meeting you today, even for just a short time. =) What a lovely painting for such a great subject! See you at the next one and online! :)
Nicely done. Looks and sounds like you had a great time.
Wow Margaret...this is great. Love those colors. What fun this must have been.sandy
Thank you all for your comments! WooHoo! Indeed it was a good day!Truly, truly this was a great experience and even though it was my "newbie crawl" there will be a lot more to come! "If I knew yesterday what I know now" I think I would have drawn more botanicals...like Fran and Angie as there was so very, very much to look at! Check out their blog/web spots to see their paintings too! They are great! Since I did take a 175+ photos so maybe they will be food for another artistic endeavor later! Hmmmmm maybe a grid or two?Sorry about the hail in Oregon Alan...Forever Young...you are so right...having the time and someone to do it with is an awesome luxury! The real beauty of the SketchCrawl at the Botanical Gardens for me was knowing that there are so many wonderful like-minded individuals who love art as much as I do. Thanks, Teri C. in Tucson for pointing me in the right direction and hooking me up with the SketchCrawl Phoenix blog! :)! It rocked!
So happy you got hooked up for the sketchcrawl!! It looks like a great group and a fabulous painting!!
It's been a while since I've been to the Phoenix area (I have some relatives there). Your paintings and drawings are making me want to visit -- more to see the desert than my relatives! (Eek! Did I just say that? I have nothing against them, just don't really know them that well). The desert has a "foreign" beauty to Midwesterners like me, and you really capture it.
