"A Little Black Purse..."

...every girl needs one, right?
Mine is made of black tooled leather
with silver studs and a silver center button.
I bought it on a lark
while playing tourist up in Wickenburg, Arizona
at a western leather goods store.
It happens to be one of my fave "Go-To" pieces.

EDinMay...EDM #03..."Draw a Purse..."

BTW...
as of this posting, I am currently
9 days of sketching behind
the rest of "y'all" in completing
an EDM every day in May.
I feel like
I have been flung hard from my horse
and am now
tumbling deeply into the thorny ravine of "Need to Do's."
I still have one more drawing in my sketchbook
done and ready to share.
Sadly though,
as far as keeping up with the group
and the future EDM sketches... I will honestly attempt to
"catch as catch can..."(whatever that means!)
I don't mean to disappoint...I'm just facing the facts.

wonderful sketch of a wonderful purse.
Don't bother trying to catch up - just do the current day's challenge if you can - or just the ones you want to!

Always think its such a commitment to agree to a sketch a day for a month, especially on top of everything else you do, as we never know what the immediate future has in store for us. Stop pressuring yourself my dear friend and select what you fancy - like this wonderful black purse and all its silver detail. Just feel I would have liked to use it last night when I attended a Norwich 20Group preview. Take care now - remember you are precious and need kindness in handling.

I can see why you like it ... that's a gorgeous little bag! And I'll chime in, too, and say to just do what you can. It's hard to let yourself relax -- believe me, I know -- but too much pressure to draw something takes the fun out of it.

I agree with Liz ... start with today and go from there!

Glad you're feeling better. ;-)

Love your sketch of your purse. Hey - I want to do this challenge and I'm even more behind than you. I worked on the shoe sketch last night but I haven't posted it yet. I will finish it up tonight and post.

Wow, I love your purse. Love the detail, color, composition, Margaret this is a keeper. Don't worry about being behind. I spend most of my life behind. Where to the hours and days go?? Just enjoy your life and " Don't sweat the small stuff" to quote a book title.

I just love these tooled leather bags. I would have a dozen if I lived near where they make them.
