"Back In The Saddle..."

...Again...:)
Well...at least I'm back in
My "little red Hand.Book sketchbook"...again...
(Yee Haw!)
...but I'm still flipping things around...
just for the fun of it!
These journal pages were made using the
hand carved cactus stamps
Shayna
gifted me...
plus a few bold splashes of watercolor...:)
Happy Cactus Monday All...
Put your own personal stamp (or brand) on this day!
:)

"I'm back in the saddle again
Out where a friend is a friend
Where the longhorn cattle feed
On the lowly gypsum weed
Back in the saddle again..."

Magnificent! I love the prints and it must be fun using the stamp =) I remember used to do that a long when I was a kid...stamping my dad's name all over the newspapers it was funny.
I really like the colors you did at the lower part of the left page too, very cell-shaded style!

Peg,
Thank you so much for your note on my blog today. Hope you got my email. When shopping with Cactus Mundi I bought little tiny-wini clothes pins for the dragonfly garland. It will be perfect and much easier putting up ATCs on the this beautiful string than using tape and tomato stake twine.

I was only in the craft store about 15 minutues, this new medicine makes me realy sick. Kelly snapped the photo of Cactus Mundi and we hurried as quick as we could home because I felt so bad. I thought of you while there because along with Christmas gifts for the youngins, I also bought a new little round box of travel watercolors for my hours in the doctors' offices. It has all your favorite colors in a very small space. I also thought of you because I painted today while in chemo therapy for the first time in over a month. I always channel you when I am painting. I close my eyes and think what colors would Peg use? LOL. The paintings are not done. But they may not get another try till my next dose of steroids next Monday at treatment. Can you tell this is written by a woman high on STEROIDS along with the chemicals?

I love these stamps in your HCM post and that they are in your journal. I belong to a stamping covey of dear friends here. Stamping has such a unique creative calling. Yours are so beautiful and just as cleaver as your pen and ink ATCs. Much affection, Judy
