"One World, One Dream..."

08.08.08
This day...is considered very powerful by some...
and,
I tend to totally agree.
...Today
my MIND feasted
on a banquet of color, and rhythm, and precision, and imagination.
...Today
my HEART became re-energized
with childlike wonder, and sparkle, and anticipation.
...Today
my SPIRIT was strengthened
by observing the simplest and smallest acts
contributing to the greatness of the whole,
and
...Today my little "WORLD"
became truly magical
intrinsically decorated by the beauty of
ART
and the possibilities and promise of the all that is around me.

I had planned to watch a "little bit" of the opening ceremonies, but stayed to watch til the end. Now I wish I had thought to have my sketchbook handy, as you did!

Thanks each of you for your lovely comments...Like so many I was truly mesmerized last night...eye balls glued to the television screen for every second of the ceremony. Isn't it amazing the gobal reach this amazing feat of art had? The power of imagination! WooHoo!...:)

what an attractive view of it all, yes it was fantastic...but what bothers me about the olympics is the money being spent to make it all happen when down the road so many millions are starving!
