How beautiful!!! Each segment is a delight to look at...awesome. PS I noticed that you are a retired middle school teacher...did you teach art? I am a retired 4th grade teacher...would not be able to be doing this if still teaching...would be spending days in the classroom in prep for start of school. I'm sure you would have been too! Miss the kids, teaching, but not the stress!

What a gorgeous, gorgeous book! It is truly impressive. I hope one day that I can get to even half as good as the art in your book. I'm truly inspired.

It's gorgeous. What a treat! All the details are amazing - that bird, and the fantastic colors, they blow me away! Seeing your two styles and paintings side by side is great too!

Thanks everyone for your inspiring comments...they make my heart sing! :)

Susan...I taught Ancient World History and Language Arts...but I incorporated some type of artistic element into every unit I taught...I loved those days tremendously...Like you, there is no way I could have kept up with all "this" and teach as well...I still get very excited when the new school supplies are put on display in the stores...Love that...but not all the endless work. This is a great time in our lives, isn't it?

Soulbrush...it took a great amount of time...I tend to like things "just so" and I try really hard not to disappoint...sooo working on Anita's book...being my first one in the exchange...really added a bit more stress...Once I had my idea...the big picture...I was unstoppable....The worst part of this exchange for me now is awaiting the arrival of the books...I do so each time with fingers and toes crossed...hoping for the best! LOL :)

Kazumiwannabe...I love that part as well...If it looked good on the screen you can only imagine how it looks in person...You really feel you have part of the "soul" of the other artist right there in front of you! :)

Jennifer...Icna't wait for you to see it as well...Tell me the second it arrives so I can begin breathing again! :) LOl

OH my.....this is outstanding, Margaret, and I am so jealous that Anita gets to keep it! lol I LOVE anything with South-West designs as I've always felt drawn to the Apache, Navajo and Hopi Indians. Arizona is one place I have always wanted to visit. Your work just blows me away.
