"A Post From the Past...'

...with a potent and important application for me...today!
I MUST get busy
painting in my Illinois sketchbook...real soon.
Time spent here this summer
seems to be flying by at "break neck" speed.
At long last, yesterday, the humidity took a nose dive
and the weather became so
delightful and breezy we were able to open windows
and breathe in some yummy fresh air.
Hopefully,
this dry Canadian air mass will stick around for the
next few days...just
long enough for me to do some on site sketching.
Fingers and toes crossed!

“I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately,
extremely abstract.
No brush, no paint, no canvas...
I just think about it.”

This is a great sketch Peg. Love those zenmandalas. I also like the quote. I have spells like that. The cold front made it all the way down here. It feels so good. I pulled a truck load of weeds yesterday. Have to work today. boooo

Beautiful. And I love the quote..I think that's where most of our art begins...in our heads. xx

Hi, I chanced on your blog and I liked the quote by Picasso ... but your painting or drawing?, it is fantastic, I really like ... gorgeous graphics you use to write to express yourself through words and drawings ... many colors, all apparently simple but ... fantastic. I'm Cristina, I am in Rome, Italy. Good evening (here we are almost to sunset, sunny day but cold northwestern wind, if you hear!), See you soon
