"Under the Shade of an Elm..."

...sitting among the iris, just sketching the day away...
is where my Muse wants to be.
The desert is heating up somewhat fiercely...
105-107 degree range lately...
shrinking her energy and artistic endeavors
to minimal levels.
Thoughts
of the midwest keep flooding her mind...
and making her anxious.
She constantly questions me begging for change.
"Soon", I kindly tell her..."soon"!

"You cannot do a kindness too soon,
for you never know
how soon it will be too late.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love this piece, Margaret! It's so neat to see how your zentangle work can be poured into a landscape piece like this!

The floods in one area and the drought in other areas seem to be constant weathers any more. It is all so unsettling. I like this drawing. Beautiful, zen-like.

Creating such beautiful work out doors in those temperatures is beyond me. I don't think I'd step outside!! Seems we both have a love of iris. I've created a number recently - on my French version of YUPO.

Absolutely stunning!! It must be meditative for you do do leaf patterns, etc. Wow!

This is a bad year for storms in the midwest, as you know. The weather is crazy everywhere!
