...over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to twinkle in the sky—
In the mist of a memory you wander back to me
Breathing my name with a sigh..."

I love this technique with the white outlining the flower. Happy Cactus Monday.
I would never have thought that song went back that far! I thought it was from the fifties. I remember singing it and dancing to it ;)
I love your purple beauty!
Still singing.....
Gorgeous!!! HCM!!!
Just caught up with all your work since Wed , as Anita came to stay and we painted - Oh yes, did we paint day after day - wonderful fun.
As ever love every piece you create, particularly the peacock mandala and this latest gorgeous cactus in bloom under the stars.
Breathtaking beautiful!
Happy cactus Monday!
don't know it, but i love this. pure love.hcm fellow cactuteer.
Love the spiral on this one. Another wonderful work of art.
I always love the colors you use and put together in such pleasing ways. Do you use a frisket of sorts to save the whites or are you just that good?! my paint ALWAYS blurs to where I don't want it to go!
WOW, I LOVE this!!! You have all of the elements shown that personally draw me in. . . cactus green & amethyst paired together, a swirl and sparkling stars in a twilight sky. Just beautiful!
Gorgeous! And love the lyrics.
Beautiful as always!
Belated HCM!
About this time, I was thinking about "Mood Indigo" and songs about blue. As I searched for them, "Deep Purple" was one that kept coming up. Love those old songs. I started a painting about "Blue", but had to put it aside due to having work done on my house, and surgery. I'll have to get back to it! :)
Enjoy your blog and your work!
