"Desert Treasure..."

...I just HAD to paint something larger than an ATC!!!
140 lb cold press paper...7" x 11"

Have a "cooool" Cactus Monday All...
We are expecting a sizzling 108+ degrees in the desert today!!

"The world, indeed, is like a dream
and the treasures of the world are an alluring mirage!
Like the apparent distances in a picture,
things have no reality in themselves,
but they are like heat haze."

Your colors really "pop" against the composition!

Beautiful - and that sun really looks hot! I've just admired the lace series, too, it's gorgeous!

OH MY GOODNESS! it is so beautiful and not an ATC, oh me oh my. I love it , the colors are lucious and not melting at all in your heat lol.

Good to see you painting again. Now I need to get beyond my addiction to ATCS!!

Wonderful cactus painting Margaret!
I love how you use these shades of purple in your cacti.
I have been making ATC's so long now that I start to long for something bigger as well. But since I don't have so much time these ATC's are great (and still addictive)

Happy Hot Cactus Monday!

Your painting is dreamy and the colors are gorgeous. It's fascinating to compare the two versions and I cannot decide which one I like best.

I always enjoy seeing your work, I've never quite taken to the 'flip side' but this one looks fantastic! It's quite special.

This is absolutely stunning. Love the second one where you use a program to alter it right?
Very pretty both.

I was in Arizona the 15th -17th. The desert plants were beautiful. I love your painting of the cactus and agave. I'm glad I didn't stick around for 108 degrees. I hope you enjoy your color pencil class.
