gently dressing her
in a palette of silvery blue magic
so soft and serene.
I made my little painting here
by using a base wash
of Chinese White with dabs of iridescent blue
purple, green, and coral DS paint...
then added
lettering and a bit of "border zen" with a silver gel pen...
all to bling out
a small sheet of Strathmore black paper
ripped from my field journal.
Hmmm...

Ain't nothing
like the real thing..."

I like the moon design, looks like a constellation, and the floral and geometrical style borders over and below the word gives the cultural feel into it. :) It's very nice!
I really like this Margaret. I always like the way you incorporate lettering and borders in your work. It makes it feel like you have a good grasp on your thinking.
Magically beautiful!
Gorgeous!

Moondance came to my head as I saw this. Beautiful!!
ain't nutting like 'your' real thing baby.fabadabadoo.
I love it - especially that moon!
Serene indeed. What a good idea to use a silver gel pen - I almost never work on colored paper, though examples like yours make me want to try.
Very nice! I had to laugh a bit, though, because the moon is something like the way I see things like a star in the sky, or an airplane, due to cataracts and AMD. Sometimes it is like fireworks. The moon is usually 3 or 4 overlapping shapes.
I know you had fun doing this one!
you've completely captured serenity ... lovely.
This is really beautiful. It just seems to glow...
I like shiny on black. My daughter used to use gold metallic pens on black paper. It reminds me of her art.
I felt all of the tension leave my body as I gazed onto this painting! So relaxing.....
Wow, just beautiful!!!!
